ABOUT US

Lisa Saputo, President and operator of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services throughout South Orange County, CA knows there is a need for quality senior care in her community.  Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services matches seniors who want to help with seniors who need a little help.  Peer-to-peer senior care offers the opportunity for seniors who may require some assistance to get what they need from a person who understands them and their experiences.

“Seniors are able to stay in their home longer than in the past and we want to be part of making that journey more enjoyable and comfortable,” shares Lisa.  Senior Providers are able to give back to their community, while staying active.  At the same time Senior Receivers get the help they need while remaining independent in their home and maintaining their quality of life.

The Providers who work with Lisa are able to offer many things including grooming and dressing, recreational activities, maintenance work, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and shopping, reading e-mail or letters, overseeing home deliveries, care of house plants, organizing closets, laundry and ironing, changing linens, transportation services, dealing with vendors and most importantly, companionship.

“By bringing seniors together in this way we have truly created …a way to give and to receive®,” says Lisa.

Lisa has her B.A. in Psychology from Point Loma University.  In 1995 she created Bratz Snowboards and Apparel, a junior line of sportswear that also contained a positive message for young girls about persevering and going for their dreams.  In 1996 Lisa opened a clothing boutique called Vivian Rose in San Diego that specialized in vintage and vintage inspired clothing.

Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services has sites throughout the country.  The organization was founded by Kiran Yocom, who has a mission and a passion to help seniors live independently. Kiran’s personal interest in seniors grew out of her work with Mother Teresa. She leads the organization through compassion and caring for all.
