2011 Aging in America Conference
Barbara Marte and Sharon Santoni are representing Seniors Helping Seniors® at the 2011 Aging in America Conference in San Francisco from April 25-April 30, 2011. This conference is offering more than 600 workshops, forums and sessions that features experts in the field of aging: leaders in aging services, business, government, policy and education and research. Added to the mix, this conference is a gathering of more than 3000 professionals in the aging services network - Aging in America is the nation’s most comprehensive multidisciplinary conference on aging.
Sharon and Barbara are able to listen to the experts and share in discussions and innovative ideas related to aging services. The highlight of the week for Sharon and Barbara will be leading a workshop related to the benefits of hiring seniors as in-home caregivers for those seniors who need a little help to remain safe and independent as long as possible in their home. Sharon and Barbara are pleased and excited to be invited as workshop presenters at this dynamic conference and look forward to sharing their experiences with everyone upon their return.

Barbara is available to speak at organizations to help people understand how the real needs of older adults can and must be met. She also contributes to the community in a variety of ways. She is an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Doylestown, a member of the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, Doylestown Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI), and Children of Aging Parents.
During the 2008 holiday season, Seniors Helping Seniors® organization collected bed linens to contribute to Christ’s Home for Children.
