Seniors Helping Seniors

...a way to give and to receive®

About Us

For many years, Gary and Pat have planned their retirement from the employment agency they owned which specialized in law firm placements. As a couple they have always felt a calling to work in ministry and devote themselves to helping build that light in themselves and others through a meaningful vocation.

They have been searching for that vocation and have found that in the mission and service of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services.

Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services is very different from other similar types of services.  The founders of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services demonstrate the character and love for others that Gary and Pat also work hard to demonstrate every day.

Giving and doing are very important to Gary and Pat, who are very involved in their church, Our Savior Lutheran Church.  They have served on boards, assisted in work days, counseled the school on financial and business matters, taught Sunday School, attended Bible studies and maintain a “card” ministry for many of the elderly members of the church.  Also through the years, Gary and Pat have helped many seniors organize their paperwork and financial aspects – from bill paying to balancing checkbooks.

They learned how important this work was when they took care of business matters for Gary’s elderly grandmother for about 7 years, driving 200 miles (round trip) to insure that her bills were paid, that she had food in the house, and that she could enjoy lunch out and some games in the afternoon.  For them, it was some of the fondest memories that they cherish.

Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services will allow Gary and Pat to minister to seniors who need assistance and engage seniors who have caring, loving spirits to help others.  For them, it offers an opportunity to fulfill their dream of ministry and live in the beautiful Ozark Mountains at the same time.

Gary and Pat, along with their senior providers offer housecleaning and reorganization services, meal preparation, transportation, yard maintenance, minor household repairs, and most importantly, caring companionship.

Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services has sites throughout the Country.  The organization was founded by Kiran Yocom, who has a mission and a passion to help seniors live independently. Kiran’s personal interest in seniors grew out of her work with Mother Teresa. She leads the organization through compassion and caring for all.
